HOPE

"We are all TOGETHER
We all have GIFTS to bring to the table
We all have our STRENGTHS
Let's UNITE and bring HOPE!
We walk in this journey with others navigating through this storm together.
Through the passing of our daughter Emily Irene, we have discovered the purpose and meaning of life. We want to help you find that your life has purpose and meaning."
- Cath Adams

We LOVE you, Emily Irene Adams. Your Angel wings are of snow-white feathers of our tears!
Dad, Mom, AJ, and Ashley

I sit with those in their challenging moments and listen. The path of human connection transcends into an awareness of compassion and reflection of our present moment towards healing and HOPE. A continuous change to our meaning and purpose in life and serving others.

PLAY

12/18/2020

This was Emily's type of play and maybe this is what heaven looks like. Whatever the unknown to me, I know she is flying and her soul is free of this world. She has walked into our lives in many ways that we are so in awe. We absolutely ache for her earthly presence but she has such a stronger presence in our lives watching over us and showing up when we least expect. Whether or not you believe, her spirit has appeared in many lights.
And just like Emily on earth, she is marching into heaven with purpose!

Insta Results

Being creative with instant results
In this world where everything is instant, we tend to become accustomed to the fast-paced lifestyle and lose the essence of "time." However, looking beyond and being creative with the instant cameras can build upon patience and awareness of our environment.

Early Recovery

7/6/2020

As a woman in early recovery my life lately has been all about just that, recovery. Cath Adams gave me a day where I could distract my mind, body, and spirit with a Healing Touch Energy Healing followed by an Awareness Photography session. It was a much needed break from the stress of life.
Healing Touch with Patty Grace, CHTP got me out of my head, somewhere I tend to spend a lot of time. It helped me relax from my conscious mind to the subconscious. My experience was similar to a dream, almost asleep but not quite. I was able to come to a very deep state of relaxation and totally escape from reality. I walked into the appointment in Patty’s private studio stressed and anxious; I came out relaxed and grounded. I have ongoing back and knee pain and after the session my pain was amazingly dissolved. After the first session I plan on continuing my healing touch journey with Patty on a regular basis.
Awareness/Reflective Photography with professional photographer Cath after Healing Touch is a memory. I'll forever cherish. After the Healing Touch session I was able to enter the awareness of Photography with a great sense of peace and relaxation, making the process seamless. One on one time with Cath is invaluable. She let me use a camera and gave me freedom to shoot whatever I felt; with tips and tricks along the way. Cath even brought out her pinhole camera for us to play with, taught me how to use it and everything it can bring to life without a viewfinder and instant results (pinhole is captured with film and a few weeks to see your results). Viewing my digital images brought the whole thing together for me; I'm so proud of the photos I took. Cath also took some photos of me and she was able to capture the sense of self peace in me in a way that was beautiful. A sense of peace that I think only could have been captured after a Healing Touch session.
The day as a whole was such an enlightening experience. I walked away feeling joy, light, and love; things that can be hard to find in recovery. The passion that Cath has for the day and the love she shows genuinely shines through the photographs, and conversations. I would highly recommend a Healing Touch/Awareness Photography day with Cath and Patty for anybody who has any stress in their life, which I believe  is everybody.
Light, Love, and Peace.

Water

3/14/2020

"In these days of life there are rough waters around the edges and choices that create challenges. But when you see who you really are like the calm water inside of the rough water life tells you that there is an inner peace. Look at nature and how it needs each other to grow. Nature is telling us humans to do the same so we can be here for each other and grow."

My Mother's Soul

7/10/2019

“This photography workshop with Cath made me feel loved. Like I mattered and everyone else cares.”
- Zah’mara age 12
Each year our Aperture Of Hope creative photography outlets gives a camera to a kid as a gift to pursue their storytelling and share their voice. In 2019 the talented young aspiring photographer Zah’mara was the recipient of a digital camera!
Being such a brave soul in sharing her personal story through her photography was a part of her healing and HOPE for others.
When Zah’mara and I first met I had asked her think of a life experience she would like to share with others. Then find a quiet space to process her thoughts and write a list of images to capture that reflect her story. Our next creative outlet together she expressed to me that she would like to share the story of her mom who recently passed. She asked to visit the hospital room where she would frequently visit her mom. The day of our scheduled photography adventure at the hospital Zah’mara had brought along the blanket she would wrap around her mother’s feet and a pair of moccasins that were a part of her family traditions. She also captured the beauty of nature that reflects her mother's soul. As you can imagine this was a very moving moment for Zah’mara. Her hope for healing by sharing her story through images is a beautiful gift she has offered from her heart. Please reflect on her images that show the beautiful light of her mother!

Another Perspective

1/10/2019

"My experiences with the camera these last few days were exciting because I didn’t know how to use the camera. When I took the pictures I felt pleased with my results because not only can I see things in another perspective, but I can also look beyond point of view."

Pinhole Camera

"A pinhole camera is different than a digital camera because you don't see your pictures right away and it doesn't have all the buttons and doesn't have a screen" - Sophie
