COMMUNITY

The tapestry of connecting as individuals creates a sense of community and meaningful relationships. The joy of belonging and growth through challenges provides the community an outlet to work together, becoming stronger and healthier.
"I will always try to be a light to someone else's life, no matter the circumstances. Mom lets you and I talk to the high school about substance use disorder, compassion, and YOU MATTER; let's write a book and take photos. You and I, mom, we can do this together and save lives."
- Emily Irene Adams 1998 - 2020 Forever "21"

Awareness Flags

Every August we place Purple (overdose awareness) and Royal Blue (fentanyl awareness)  flags as a visual display representing those who have passed away from fentanyl poisoning and overdose in the Roaring Fork Valley, Colorado community. In addition, we host YOU MATTER Fentanyl Poisoning & Overdose Raising Awareness Day event to support others and let them know they are not alone. This event aims to raise awareness, reduce the stigma of drug related deaths and fentanyl poisoning and remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury. It offers all who have been affected a chance to mourn and help the community learn about fentanyl poisoning and substance use disorder publicly and through the lived experiences shared. Illicit drugs are dangerous and no-one is immune.

Our Voices

We need to talk...
How do we save lives? Have honest “real” conversations surrounding fentanyl and letting everyone know "YOU MATTER" We share our message and create awareness for schools, youth organizations, community resources, parent groups, police departments and all  organizations. Fentanyl is taking the lives of  everyone and  this may be the first introduction to illicit drugs. Substance use comes with red flags, but with how easy it is to purchase "fake pills"  and substance that contains fentanyl on social media, in public and other means there are no red flags. So it could be the very first time your loved one uses an illicit drug. LISTEN to our VOICES. You don't have to have the disease of addiction to die from fentanyl poisoning. We are fighting to SAVE LIVES

We would be honored to talk to your organization about this epidemic and create awareness.

Please read the Colorado State Good Samaritan Law to fully understand the law. If you do not reside in Colorado, familiarize yourself with your State Good Samaritan Law about reporting suspected drug overdose or fentanyl poisoning.
