HERE ARE SOME OF THE PROGRAMS WHERE YOU CAN SPONSOR

International Overdose Awareness Day

International Overdose Awareness Day is every year on August 31. The day aims to raise awareness of overdose, reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths, and remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury due to drug overdose. It offers all who have been affected by overdose a chance to mourn and help the community learn about drug overdose publicly. The day also serves as a warning that not only illicit drugs are dangerous, and no-one is immune to overdose.
In the year of 2020 we placed 52 purple flags  representing those who have passed away from substance in Pitkin, Eagle, and Garfield County in the years 2017-2019 throughout several locations in the Roaring Fork Valley, CO. International Overdose Awareness Day is a way to support others and let them know they are not alone. We will continue this awareness every year in honor of everyone.

How Does Your Garden Grow

Emily's world was in her garden from the early age of 18 months, exploring the dirt, seedlings, and all the garden goodies. All her senses were so present in the nature of growth from seed to nourishing plants.
As a young teen, Emily built over twenty gardens and beds/plots to plant various vegetables. She also invited summer school elementary-aged children and kids with special needs to help plant and educate them about the importance of fresh/healthy food. Over 100 lbs. of fresh produce was harvested and delivered to the Roaring Fork Valley's needy. Emily continued giving food to those in need throughout her time residing in the Roaring Fork Valley. We continue her love of gardening in reaching out to support those in recovery and families.

Gardening is a creative pursuit that will not only give those in recovery a way to express themselves, it will also provide an opportunity for connection. We engage with those in recovery in the building of peace gardens, flower and vegetable gardens. Getting our hands dirty together and finding PURPOSE!

Awareness Photography
Healing Touch

Your journey begins with a Healing Touch session in a calm, relaxed studio setting to assist in restoring harmony to your energy. Through the process, the practitioner enters a meditative state to reduce distractions and better connect with you. Following the Healing Touch Session, you will be able to enter the Awareness Photography outlet with a sense of calm and relaxation. Awareness Photography will allow you to be in the present moment of “seeing” with your eye, mind, and heart expanding your vision and your appreciation of the world in a freeing manner that makes sense to you in that moment.
The experience of both Healing Touch and Awareness Photography outlet sessions connects what is inside us; perceptions, thoughts, feelings with outer realities, and life experiences. Awareness Photography outlets and Healing Touch has been widely used to treat several physical and emotional concerns and a complementary therapy, designed to enhance traditional treatments rather than be used as a cure. Feelings with outer realities and life experiences.

Connecting with the Outdoors

Taking in the fresh air and movement, whether a walk or hike can enrich your experience and open conversation to express your feelings as a step to healing. Our adventures begin with grounding into nature, embracing the journey and celebrating the destination. We venture on walks, hikes, winter snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and alpine adventures offering a support to those with substance use disorder and families who are affected by a loved one in recovery and/or active addiction. Self-care, staying active and healthy is essential during difficult times.

Sharing Our Lived Experience

We need to talk...end the stigma, silence and shame. Do you know the signs and symptoms of overdose? What is the impact of drug use and overdose on family, friends and those experiencing it? We create an awareness to school age kids and families sharing our lived experience and educating about the growing epidemic of substance.
